O heavy metal (muitas vezes referido apenas como metal) é um gênero do rock que se desenvolveu no final da década de 1960 e no início da década de 1970, em grande parte, no Reino Unido e nos Estados Unidos.Tendo como raízes o blues-rock e o rock psicodélico, as bandas que criaram o gênero desenvolveram um espesso, maciço som, caracterizada por altas distorções amplificadas, prolongados solos de guitarra e batidas enfáticas. O Allmusic afirma que "de todos os formatos do rock 'n' roll, o heavy metal é a forma mais extrema, em termos de volume, machismo e teatralidade.

As primeiras bandas de heavy metal como Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath e Deep Purple atraíam grandes audiências, um atributo comum em toda a história do gênero. Em meados da década de 1970, o Judas Priest ajudou a impulsionar a evolução do gênero suprimindo muito da influência do blues presente na primeira geração do metal britânico; o Motörhead introduziu agressividade e fúria nos vocais, influência do punk rock, e uma crescente ênfase na velocidade. Bandas do "New Wave of British Heavy Metal" como Iron Maiden seguiram a mesma linha. Antes do final da década, o heavy metal tinha atraído uma sequência de fãs no mundo inteiro conhecido como "metalheads" ou "headbanges" e também como "metaleiros".

MUNDO METAL (ECZEMA)













ECZEMA born around of 1994 in hands of Ivan and Dario, from Madrid (Spain). In its first line-up had Dani on drums, Sergio playing bass, and Ivan and Darius with the guitars and vocals. With this line-up a demo was released in 1996. Months later, Sergio leaves the band and after a few months a new bassist search becomes part Paul, showing a great rapport with the rest of the band in a few weeks.

In 1998 ECZEMA won his first musical competition in San Martín de la Vega, whose award was cash, and be a festival poster heads. With this lineup was edited la
ter a MCD in 1999 called "At the other side of the mirror". Received some excellent critical of media professionals and opened many doors to the group.

At the beginning of the summer of 1999, Dani and ECZEMA decided to separate their ways by musical differences, and the group is forced to work with a mechanical battery, saw while searching for a new drummer, not curb the smooth running of the band. In September 1999 ECZEMA won the second contest of Rivas Vaciamadrid Pop-rock. The prize was editing and mastering of "At the other side of the mirror", along with the second and third classified, and play at the festival´s central stage . The album was baptized with the name "9-9-99".

In September 2001, and as a result of having won a third contest in Gijón (which involved about 180 bands from all over Spain rock-heavy), "Loneliness, the cry of death" was edited.

Around May 2003, the band decided to put aside the concerts to focus on ending the songs included on their next studio recording. Such recording took place between October 2003 and February 2004. The CD includes six songs, and its title is "Our Caotic Noise".

In July 2004, Fouad tests to be new drummer of the band, more than fulfilling the expectations of the band. Since, Fouad is the fourth member of ECZEMA, both the musical and staff levels.

After a time playing concerts around Spain, the band focuses on compose what would be his fifth Recording Studio.
